Can You Help Us With....
Our Business model?
We believe the new Pavilion should pay its own way, and would greatly appreciate help from people with previous expertise in this type of Community Project. Can you Help?
Setting up our New Entity?
We envisage the new Entity to be set up to run independently from Island Bay United AFC, and as such need a new, non-profit organisation to be set up. Can you Help?
Architecture?
The plans available shown on this site are great, but they're concepts, and we can't build using them. We require an Architect who wishes to see this project completed. Can You Help?
Quantity Surveying?
Like any building project, we all know it's imperative to keep costs inline with the budget, or the entire project is at risk. Can You Help?
Civil Engineering?
It's obvious that a project like this will need the input of a reliable engineer or two, but would you be able to lend a hand in this area for such a good cause? Can You Help?
Philanthropy?
A project like this which benefits so many community groups is bound to receive some funding from Wellington City Council, and in fact we have already received some for feasibility studies etc, but a huge amount of capital is needed in order to pull this off. Can You Help?
Yes! We need YOUR support, & if you can help us, we'd sure appreciate it.

The Wakefield Park Development aims to provide facilities and playing surfaces to suit an incredibly broad spectrum of community groups, and not just in Island Bay.
In actual fact, the benefits from realising this sports hub concept will be felt by most of Wellington, as it will address regional ground closure issues AND shorter day light hours!
