Let's Get The Ball Rolling!
Wakefield Park is a joint initiative between the Wellington City Council and Island Bay United AFC's Senior and Junior Clubs, in an attempt to get more benefit out of Wakefield Park for the future recreation of everyone within the Wellington Region.

Obviously we are still very much in the proposal stage, and will regularly update the public on progress as we get closer to final designs. We are open to suggestions about possible features, and like always, welcome any help that Architects, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors might be able to give us.

Our proposal at Wakefield Park creates 3 Full sized artificial pitches, 1-2 Junior sized pitches, a perimeter walking/exercise track, exercise equipment stations, disabled access, additional parking, and new facilities!

Our Goals
3 full size and 1 or 2 Junior artificial football pitches (depends on size)
Relocate changing rooms & clubrooms between upper & lower pitches
Provide additional off street parking
Facilitate disabled access
Perimeter walking/exercise track for public use
Add fitness exercise equipment stations
